Good news! The ITE Student Chapter at LSU is committed to ignite interest in the traffic/transportation engineering profession, and build bridges between students and the professional community in this field.

The objectives of the ITE Student Chapter are as follows:

Promote the field of transportation and traffic engineering by fostering the close association of students with the transportation and traffic engineering community;

Acquaint students with topics of interest in this engineering field through competent speakers, and tours/field trips;

Encourage the development of professional spirit, and to promote common interests among students.
Any LSU student is eligible to participate in the Chapter’s general meetings. A student can become an active member if he/she signs up in our signing sheet or sends a request via email. Students may be admitted membership at any time. Students can also sign up for membership with ITE International which offers FREE membership for the first year! Visit: http://www.ite.org/membership/
ITE-LSU thanks to the dedicated work and support of many: the Student Chapter officers and advisor, members of the faculty, volunteers, and speakers. We are happy to see how the ITE-LSU Student Chapter events, especially tours and site visits, create an environment that ignite students’ learning and engagement.
